One of the questions I am often asked is:
“How do these guys get tons of people to promote for them”
“How do you and Doug get the cool gifts for your giveaway”
“How can I get some partners to help me promote”

Ok, so that’s really three questions, and in reality I get asked essentially the same thing in many different ways:
“How can I get the big guys to take notice of me and partner or JV with me when I am still new and don’t know anyone?”

It’s a great question and to be very honest, there are as many different answers as you can imagine to this one question, but the reality is this. You could just have logged on the net today for the first time and if you know how to contact potential partners you could be bringing in revenue today still.

It is true, being able to get the attention of potential partners is one of the keys to going from ‘all alone’ to real success.

Unfortunately, in talking with a lot of people, the first thing I hear is fear. Fear of rejection, fear of hearing ‘no’.

You have to get past that.
Sure, I get told ‘no’, we all do. The key thing is that if you toss in the towel at hearing ‘no’ once or twice or even a hundred times, then you tossed it in too early.

Often I didn’t hear anything back, but now and then someone would have something I could help with and no matter how small or trivial it might have seemed to me when I first started, it allowed me to meet some great people, find new partners and ultimately I also made some awesome new friends.

Another great way to find potential partners is to look at your niche. Do a search on your keyphrase and see what the top sites are that the search engines show you. You could contact them too.

One more tip on finding possible JV partners is to look at the standings during JV Launches. They often have a list of the top referrers, their top people.

I have been in those ‘top’ lists myself along the way more than a few times and it’s really cool to get an email from someone congratulating me on how well I was doing. I was told where they’d seen my standings/results and I was asked a simple question or offered some help with my own next launch. Let’s just say that if you congratulate someone about their launch standings, then you are quite likely to get their attention.
